ReplyDeleteI want to see our ministry and its members grow in the right direction & under the right authority. I want our ministry to become more than just fun & "fellowship". I want God to be pleased in all that we do, say, share, host, etc.
I have high hopes for the outcome of this fast, and I pray that those participating will be exposed to who God is, and just how much He loves us.
awesome things are going on here =D

Yes! I love the media fast in a very painful way. I was wondering... when was the last time I actually really challenged myself to show God in more than just prayer , " Hey I really want more!". I can only do this with a Church... so this is good. don't let me watch housewives of NJ again.

I didn't know what to expect when I began this fast. I haven't had any extreme urges to dive into any secular media or to binge on a juicy steak, however when I'm driving alone is when the lack of media/music feels like it's taunting me. I either find myself in an awkward daze or I find myself genuinely talking with God. I pray that the latter becomes the norm.
ReplyDeleteSure, it's only been two days, and I may become frustrated in the days that follow, but I want to take that frustration--that ungodly spirit--and transform it into a spirit of God. I pray & optimistically hope that I will be able to change my frustration into a time where I focus on Jesus & just the infinite God that He is. Because honestly, Jesus > Sick Beats, Steak, Cheesecake.
All in all, I look forward to the outcome of this fast and the new heights our ministry is striving towards.
